We need to develop a serious plan to clean our air. Per the EPA's toxic cancer causing air pollution map, we are the worst in the nation. This is unacceptable. We need to hold corporations like B. Braun accountable or get them out of our community. Pasted below is an email I just sent after watching the city's climate action meeting on FB Live. Please share this message with the people who have the care and the power to take action on this.
I just caught the tail end of your Facebook Live Climate Action meeting. I am a City of Bethlehem resident and am upset with the fact that Bethlehem is the worst spot in the entire nation on the EPA's map of Toxic Cancer Causing Air Pollution in the entire nation! The Chicago Tribune published this map a few years ago. We need to take serious actions to remedy this.
Furthermore, perhaps we do not need the companies such as B. Braun who are the biggest culprits of this pollution as a part of our community any longer. Let's put public health above corporations, and either hold companies like B. Braun accountable or get them out of our community.
Please let me know who I can share this message with so that something can be done about this. We are all raising our kids here and we want them to have clean air to breathe and have parents who are healthy enough to support them as they grow.
