Elizabeth Ave Sidewalk

From "Complete Streets"

Go to the project

Currently, there is no sidewalk on the steepest portion of Elizabeth Avenue, going up the hill from the creek. This is incredibly dangerous for pedestrians and cyclists going up the hill, as they must either dismount to walk up on the edge of the travel lane, or go on the overgrowth.

Adding sidewalk would allow cyclists to use this route (albeit by walking their bikes up, in most cases).

It is currently one of the only ways for those in West Bethlehem to get to downtown or to the area around Moravian and Liberty. None of them are very great options, frankly, and it limits cycling in the area a lot.
