Retail Bike Parking
From "Transportation and Mobility Implementation Committee"
Go to the project
There are a number of shopping plazas in Bethlehem where cyclists are at the mercy of handrails, drainage poles, and good intentions when attempting to shop, especially outside of the downtown and south side areas.
The city should make efforts to strive for well-lit and well-located bicycle parking at all major retail spaces, notably lacking at the Lehigh Shopping Center and the Westgate Mall in West Bethlehem.

Hi Anthony! I took a deep dive into Bethlehem's zoning ordinance and found that new nonresidential (retail, office, etc) and multi-unit residential (apartment buildings) are required to build at minimum 2 bike parking spots.
While this doesn't apply to existing retail/ shopping plazas, I think there is an argument to be made here. Existing shopping plazas should accommodate bicycle parking as they are already do for cars!
