expand the Fahy Bridge pedestrian path

The Bridge is plenty wide to accommodate more pedestrian / bicycle traffic. As it is now, it's barely wide enough for two people side by side. People bike on the protected path because it's the only place to safely get a cross the bridge, so seems logical to just expand it and make enough space for pedestrians and bicycles

I appreciate this comment; the bridges are certainly tricky as they are costly to retrofit to accommodate more space for the pedestrians. We appreciate any suggestions to reallocating space, including what modes of transportation you think should be prioritized.
Currently we have 4 travel lanes (two in each direction) which bikes and cars share (bike sharrow), as well as the East pedestrian walkway. Would you reallocate any of this space to create more room for the pedestrian?
Just curious to your ideas!
