Turn 378 into a Boulevard

I could not agree more, we need slow traffic down on 378 crossing the Lehigh. The section of 378 between 378 from Main Street to West Fourth Steet is drag strip. There's no reason for cars traveling in excess of 25 to 30 miles per hour in this area. I would give the current pedestrian street crossing between Brighton and West Fourth streets a D or F. There are no pedestrian crossing signs to alert drivers at any of these intersections that pedestrians or bikers could be crossing the street. Drives making a righthand turn onto Brighten or West Third can't see a pedestrian crossing at these intersections until they have already into the turn. All of the mentioned intersections are poorly illuminated at night. Pedestrians take great risk crossing any of these intersections. We must change the paradigm that cars are king, this mindset is not sustainable. To allow people to come together, we must create more opportunities for people to interact on foot or bike. The automobile has become a huge barrier to achieving this goal. What about the financial and environmental impact required to sustain these massive road projects. What legacy do we want to leave the next generation?
